The WE ARE NOT DIFFERENT project proposal comes from a consortium of 4 organizations engaged in adult education: the SMART EDUCATIONAL PROJECTS Association (Romania), Inercia Digital (Spain), LatConsul (Latvia), Polaris (Italy). The consortium is a transnational and cross-sectoral one that brings together organizations with different competencies and experiences, from countries with different cultures, but all being involved in the same adult education idea.

The purpose of this partnership is to implement a project that will lead to the creation of a WAND final product. WAND is a learning kit consisting of an online learning platform, containing a guide and a set of learning videos. This is to be used for introducing parents on the marginalized children education in school. The marginalization of children in school is a topical issue, which has both short and long-term consequences.

Since school hasn’t been able to find a solution to this problem, an option would be determining parents to find the required time for communicating with children and helping them overcome their marginalization stage.

The project addresses the “Social inclusion” horizontal priority and the sectoral priorities of adult education: “Improving and expanding the offer on high quality learning opportunities that are tailored according to the needs of low-skilled or highly-qualified adults” and “Expand and develop educators’ and other staff members’ skills who support adult learners”.
